Dear friends, subscribers, readers—
I have been suffering implacable spinal nerve pain for weeks. Just as medical intervention relieved cervical compression, now the lumbar region has white-hot, searing intermittent nerve lightning bolts. Almost unbearable to walk, and going from standing to sitting the worst. I am not writing much. That severity washes words out. I am trying to respond to comments. I am not reading much here, either. If you have commented and don’t hear from me, it certainly is not because I’m casual or thoughtless. Every comment is treasured; please keep them coming! More intervention ahead. May it reopen my creative life with new inspiration.

Dear Amrita, My message is unfortunately delayed because I to have been dealing with my own issues with back pain and recently was hospitalized with a TIA. I am so sorry to learn you are experiencing debilitating nerve pain. I wish you peace and hope that your treatment brings relief and you are able to resume writing poetry.
