right there it won’t be denied inflamed cervical nerve wants all the attention needs an opponent is spoiling… you know can’t be denied it’s you again, I say my familiar come near yes, closer still how do we be together nestle in words go
Glad to hear you were able to schedule an appt. this week. In the meantime, sending you prayers and positive healing energy. This poem took me back to your poem, "Riveting," which I remember reading and re-reading because I could so relate to my own chronic pain experience in that poem. And in "Right There," your last line: "words go."...how true!
good grief. I'm writing the same poem all over again! I wrote "riveting" in 2023, remembering back to 2017 when I ruptured L4/5. Missed a stone step on the dock on the Isle of Lewis, spent a night in so much pain all I could do was throw up. Spent the next day, night in the hospital on Skye. We flew home a couple of days later, trip aborted.
That kind of pain, clarifying. I scrambled for my tools. You know.
Luckily, it is NOT low back. I've been through that--ruptured L4/5 twice about seven years ago. So I can walk easily with no pain, other than what radiates down my left arm. But that's whether I walk, stand, sit, or lie down!! Thank you for your good thoughts, Greg. And I got an appointment with the pain people for this Thursday, 8 a.m. Grateful for that.

Emphatically in tune with your body. Keep communicating!
Trying to get seen by my pain doctor. Not a quick path. PT appointment to be assessed is still two weeks away.
So sorry to see your pain. Back pain is the worst. Keep moving - if you can💕
