Wonderful, Amrita! I'm keeping a copy of this one and would like to share with the writers in my writing group... if that's OK with you. "Write now. Write what's true." is worthy of tattoos and T-shirts.

“write now.

write what’s true.”

A lovely mantra - one I will attempt to emulate.

The poet Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer says 4 things to herself before she writes every day:

*I will write.

*Writing doesn't have to be good, but it has to be true. What is the next true thing?

*I cannot know the ending when I start. Put yourself in service to the poem. If you think

you know the ending, write right past it.

*I will share it!

That list is printed and on my desk. I look at it every day and adhere to it.
