Testament Amidst the deepest ache and throbbing twinge, stars still bestow their grace— Even in pain, she stalks the thread of love that nourishing wine And why would she not? the earth still spins it orbits the sun, not her
The perfect poem to embrace the Lunar Eclipse in the early hours of August 28. Visible in the eastern U.S. How synchronized our little solar system is.
Thank you, Julie. It’s been quite the journey, meeting, greeting, and living with this intensity of pain over the last not sure how many weeks. Eight weeks, I think, of being really debilitated—first my neck, which put my left dominant hand out of commission. Then my sacrum, now above that, probably L3/4, sending savage pain down my left leg and knee whenever I stand or walk. Yet another epidural Thursday. I’m hopeful, because the location of my pain—so specific—points to where the source is. Yet I refuse to let it get me down—I’ve been drawing Zentangles as a meditation every day; editing old poems more that writing new ones, but some new. I’ve been able to laugh at my predicament, thank heavens! And I always keep in mind how many people suffer like this without access to medical care…i am so privileged.
"Stars still bestow their grace—" ❤️ That line holds so much quiet truth, Didi. The world keeps spinning and orbiting, no matter how deep the ache is. Thank you for this comfort.

Wow, I don't keep track. Serendipity!
Even in pain she stalks the thread of love…❤️
You bet she does. Love is what gets me through.
“Why would she not?” Deep
Gratitude for a gentle reminder for me. I am much moved by your writing in/through your physical pain.
