Sorry for the agony, Amrita. As others in the thread have said, your description serves as a guide to wrapping our arms around experience that doesn't cooperate with our cellular desire for always available peace and pleasant moments.
You got it, friend. Second epidural was this morning, and already I am titrating down pain medication. I want to DRIVE again!!! Thanks for thinking of me. This was a savage patch.
B takes the most amazing care of me. Never a complaint, an irritation. Just love. How lucky am I? 38 beautiful years.
I get this - I am very medication sensitive. Even Tylenol or Ibuprofen sends me on a loop. Seems like we've both been on pain meds these past few days! In it together. Sending the strength of my healing to you dear friend <3
Thank you for that, dear Habibi. Epidural is done, now we wait with care and patience for it to work magic. I can’t really put into words how I treasure you. Simply know that I do.
Thank you, Messy. It was an important poem for me to write. Had a low back epidural this morning and may be out of pain for a while. Don’t know yet! Sense of humor and joy intact. Sending love,
medicine arrives in so many forms...capsules, dogs, lovers and skewers. may we all find the courage to be willing to call them all "sweetheart" and to step close to them.
Didi, this one hurts to read—and yet there is such tenderness in the way you turn toward the pain instead of simply fighting it. “Sweetheart, come close” stopped me. The skewer becomes something you meet, not something you can escape. ❤️

The treasuring is mutual <3
What a brave and true description of the experience of meeting pain - with courage and cylinders of medication.
Beautifully descriptive❤️
