Summer’s Ready
The gift of a bright
warm day already
autumn’s hint, a subtle
chill
Filling feeders again
squirrels, birds, their final
fattening
Our flush of tomatoes
stuffed, baked, sliced
and my favorite canapé
caprese
Summer’s ready,
my husband calls
What a great thing to hear... and a perfect last line for the poem!
The passage of time...so quick and sometimes, not fast enough. Love.
