Still, no poem

Words staunched
reports too troubling
Young mother speaks up
gunned down
Her life snatched away
executed by ICE
our government ready
with lies
Grateful for cameras
capturing the truth
We’ve come to that
Look, a few words
a few angry words
Yes, “we’ve come to that.”
News’ truths make us beyond sad.
May lies meet mad’s might.
My heart clenches and releases, assaulted by these terrible, painful images. I have to keep breathing deeply, over and over. Sometimes it works. Other times, my wordless grief/rage finds a poem like this. Thank you, again, my friend.
