Setting Aside
When I set aside
worry
let pain be both
present and nameless
sunlight spills brighter
shadows gather my gaze
as they shift with the air
My squirrel neighbor sidles
the fenceline—a stutter
a twitch—his morning path
from somewhere
to somewhere
Like mine
