rubber on the road
a background roar
workers gearing up
trees require pruning
(fire insurance demand)
loud wood chipping
grass weed-whacked   

on the periphery
lavish wisteria blooms
scent the air
happy oxalis everywhere
jasmine in full bloom
faint birdsong backdrop

occasional car fading 
into natural sound?
