I am
an aperture
an opening
a doorway
as are you—
the light of knowing
pours through
no matter how veiled
we are aware
that we are
Spasms
knife down my leg
pool in my knee
—yet the miracle is
I know it
Gratitude,
an uprising of love
in the midst of pain,
sweeps over me—
our simple home
my husband’s care
this sparrow bathing
Awareness looks through
the portal that we are—
eventually
we look back
This is beautiful.
This is a beautiful sentiment, Amrita. The moment of your aliveness.
