I loved "pee-mail." 😊

Your poem gently reminded me how easily we furnish our minds with labels, worries, and judgments, while dogs simply read the world and move on.

Thank you for this quiet pause today.

You're welcome. I'm glad you received the reminder--I seem to need it every day, and our beautiful dog Jazz reminds me. I love pee-mail, too! I've been in severe neck pain, all felt radiating down my left (dominant) arm, but yesterday, after 3 weeks of this, finally had a steroid epidural injection in cervical space C7/T1, and today my pain is reduced from 10 to about a 1+. I could kiss my sweet doctor's feet. She is of east Indian ethnicity, but born in the USA. She's a pain specialist, but I suspect she's around 38 years old. Lovely, listens so carefully, and is so skillful. I think I can now begin dictating poems again--want to give that arm a rest. I haven't written a poem in ten days, but always try and stay 21 days ahead just in case of an event like this. Oh my! I only have five poems scheduled, so It's been 16 days of not writing due to severe pain. I'd better get busy!!!

Amrita, what a relief to read this. From a pain of ten to one is no small gift. Your doctor sounds as compassionate as she is skilled. I smiled at "pee-mail"—Jazz clearly knows how to keep priorities straight. I hope your arm continues to heal and that the poems return at their own pace. Even five waiting in the wings sounds like quiet wisdom. Wishing you many gentler days ahead.
