fissure
look for it—
a fracture where
the light pours in
light that warms
the bones, tunes
the heart, clarifies
the mind
you need that light
like lentil soup
needs seeded bread
on a savage day

Praise the fissures, and light as lentil soup, which I've been meaning to make for a while now but always seem to put off and say "maybe next week" 😅
i needed this today after inadvertently seeing some very violent images yesterday. it was a savage evening. now the light is pouring in!
