It's weird to click "like" when what I mean is that sounds so scary and frightening and just awful but know that we're holding you in our hearts.

It is neither scary nor frightening, new friend! I’m doing 95% better less than 24 hours post second epidural!! I used to be on Lyrica on a tiny dose—25 mg 2x a day. I thought it did nothing, snd was going to eliminate it from my pill regime. (Anything to lessen it!) but then my primary care doctor upped it to 75 2x a day, and I texted her (she lets me)and we upped it to 3x a day. It does something! This morning, that is all I took. No opioids, no Valium. I’m excited! But in the evening, after taking it at dinner, 2 nights in a row i fell asleep during a TV program I love—very odd behavior, hence the poem.

Oh Amrita, you know I can relate. Just reading this, I felt it in my body.

Didi, hope you don't mind if my comment becomes a fruitless effort to copy you

Falling Asleep

Lyrica itself grows heavy

the word becomes part of sleep

the heaviness, the surrender

“My eyes feel like stones” stays with me

Didi, I hope sleep finds you gently ❤️

So glad to hear that the epidural is helping. All the drugs have side effects. Which ones help, which ones are tolerable, which ones don't help or have too many unpleasant side effects. Journey through western medicine.

Ah yes, I am right there with you. It resonates, thank you!
