Bridge
An elegant try
We lost ourselves—forgot
what we’re made of
It’s messy
the cosmos showcasing
chaos societies
inside-out in a heartbeat
I weep and rail
for our cobalt home
Then shift to look
for wonder
flaming California
poppies, the bounding
whippet flash of emerald
at a hummer’s throat
my friend’s clear heart
and always, always
grace

Always, always bringing us back to what is important in the here and now.
“Always, always grace…”. I love this line so much that it’s going into my journal! Even when I forget so much of the goodness in my life, there is always grace, even when I am blind to it. Thank you, dear Amrita.
